Short Take
Storage warehousemen Moe, Larry & Shemp take delivery of Mr. Bradley’s shipment of Arabian souvenirs and china. In a crate that they accidentally drop, Shemp finds a lamp… and its resident “genius,” whom Shemp names ‘Amos’ (Wesley Bly). Two Arab assassins arrive to retrieve the lamp, and when Bradley orders the crates delivered to his house, follow the Stooges to the residence to kill them. A wild chase ensues, with everyone playing a game of hot-potato with the lamp, and the Stooges trying to summon ‘Amos’ to their rescue.

Three Arabian Nuts Trivia
- This is the fifteenth of sixteen Stooge shorts with the word “three” in the title.
- The film’s title is a parody of Arabian Nights, a collection of West and South Asian stories and folk tales compiled in Arabic during the Islamic Golden Age.
- Stop camera technique is used in the short to achieve the magic effect of the genie’s appearance and Shemp’s change of clothes.
Production Notes
- Three Arabian Nuts was filmed on January 9–12, 1950, nearly one year prior to its January 1951 release.
