Diehard Three Stooges fans see Larry routinely take a wallop, kick or slap from Moe, recovering in the blink of an eye. Those curious about his stint as lightweight boxer Kid Roth heard of his never-seen KO power.

Other than those wonderfully colorful written recollections courtesy of his keen-eyed younger brother and ringside companion Morris (Moe), sadly there appear to be no press documents recounting Larry’s much admired boxing skills.

Seeing the dire need for a literary look at the Middle Stooge’s fisticuff magic in the ring, BearManor Media author Geoff Dale, a long-time fight fan, joyfully took on the task of creating such an homage to the Pugilistic Porcupine.

A largely fictional work but spiced with reality, including recognition of Larry the talented classical violinist, Dale takes more-than-a-peak at a fascinating era where great Jewish boxers like Benny Leonard and Barney Ross ruled the ring.
